Karehana Park ‘pavers in the park’

PRA organised sales, inscriptions and installation of sponsors’ pavers through the ‘Pavers in the park’ project. This is near the playground where a seat and picnic table were also placed in memory of PRA committee member Roger Johnson who project managed the upgrade of Karehana Park over many years.

His vision included mobility access from both Airlie and Cluny Roads, scooter and bike roads for little kids, a new play area, landscaping, stream refurbishment, drinking fountains for all park users (thanks to our three local plumbers who made this happen….) and amenities like the pétanque court (generously donated by Touhy Homes).

Thanks to Sue Ineson and Allan Dodson who organised the pavers and to PCC and sponsors for creating this memorial for Roger’s family, residents and visitors to enjoy the fruits of Roger’s work.
