Emergency preparation … radios ready for residents to learn the ropes

PRA has a number of hand-held radios for use by people living at strategic locations in Plimmerton and Camborne. These radios are simple to use and keep charged. they will enable real time communication with our local community emergency hub (at Plimmerton School, or elsewhere as needed) during events.

These phones will operate even when power and cell phone towers are out.

If you are interested in being allocated a radio for use in emergencies contact plimmertonra@gmail.com. As you will be part of a community emergency response team you will be given training which takes about 3 hours.
