Big Spring Clean … our annual pre-Summer tidyup

Plimmerton/Camborne’s annual Big Spring Clean is held in November every year to spruce things up round our beaches, parks and streets for Summer.

St Andrews’ Church on Steyne Ave is the host organisation. Lions Mana provides a sausage sizzle for workers and the church congregation complements this with delicious home baking and a welcome cuppa.

Plimmerton Volunteer Fire brigade drive people to their allocated cleaning spots and brings them back for refreshments.

PCC provides gloves and bags and collects all the filled rubbish bags in the afternoon.

PRA organises publicity and liaises with the different groups involved. It’s always a fun morning and a chance to meet up with neighbours and friends.
