You are invited to our Annual General Meeting

Guest speakers Friends of the Taupo Swamp and Catchment

  • 6000 locally grown eco-sourced wetland plants in the ground 
  • 7000 volunteer hours 
  • 8 hectares of our local wetland cleared of pest weeds

Hear how an idea to focus on the ‘local’ to improve the planet for future generations has developed from a wishful chat by a small group down at The Big Salami 3 years ago!

Members of Friends of Taupō Swamp & Catchment will share photos, plans and some of the more unexpected issues faced as they advocate for a nationally significant wetland lying so close to our village.

Short evening this year… business, guest speakers, supper

Come out of hibernation for an evening and catch up with friends and neighbours!
